Regional pizza styles are the best guide to what actually lands on the table. New York-style is a thin, foldable slice from a large pie; Neapolitan is a soft, charred, wood-fired pizza eaten with a knife and fork; Chicago deep-dish is a thick, layered pie baked in a pan that takes 30-45 minutes; tavern-style (Chicago thin crust) is cracker-thin and cut into squares; Detroit-style is a rectangular pan pizza with caramelized cheese edges; Sicilian and grandma pies are thick or thin square pies from the Northeast; New Haven apizza is a coal-fired, oblong, charred pie; St. Louis-style uses a cracker crust and Provel cheese. Shops that specialize in one style usually say so in the name or on the menu board.

I ordered the octopus salad yesterday and it is so delicious! 10 out of 10 the next time I come back I will be ordering it again! their bread with cheese added on top itโs a 10 out of 10 as well, and their calamari is so delicious fresh and crispy. This place is an absolute gem in Westchester! ๐

The experience was really good overall. The pizza was fresh and full of flavor, and the garlic bread was honestly the best Iโve ever had. The atmosphere was nice too. The only inconvenient part was that the food took a little longer than expected to come out, but overall it was still a great experience.

The pizza was good. I wish it was a little bigger. Rumor has it. They make bigger pizzas if you order takeout then if you actually stay there and eat it. but other than that, everything else was good.

My wife and I were in the area and stopped into Wood & Fire for a late lunch. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was great, a really nice spot to relax with a drink. Speaking of which, the drinks were very good. Unfortunately, the pizza was a big letdown. We ordered a cheese pie, and it just didnโt have any flavor, mostly cheese with very little balance or depth. Definitely one of the weaker pizzas weโve had. Iโm sure there are better dishes on the menu, but based on our experience, I wouldnโt recommend the pizza.

This laid back and unpretentious restaurant will put you at ease while you enjoy a solid Italian meal. They are known for their pizza offerings, but they also have wonderful salads and classic Italian dishes. I had the Chicken Francese which was moist and tasty with a creamy lemon sauce. It was a sizable portion so I did not feel the need to order an appetizer. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. There is a designated parking lot with an ample number of spaces. Great place, particularly for a casual family meal.
